What is new media?
New media is a new technology that makes it easier for people to communicate with one another. It is much faster and less time consuming and it attracts more of the young generation. There are many different forms of communication included in new media for the audience online and on the go. Basically, new media is all digital way of sending and receiving information, which is also known as computer technology.
Examples: the Internet, video games, websites such as YouTube and other social networks, iPhones, Blackberries, MSN messenger

New media can be found anywhere. It surrounds us from the brink of digitalization to the end of electricity. It usually asks for interactive user control. Things like the Internet and computers are a very good example of new media.
New media can be found anywhere that involves computer technology. For example, personal computer, mobile phone. The Internet is the cradle of new media because it encourages the use of new media like websites and E-mail. Without internet, new media won't be the most popular way to communicate for now. When can we apply them?
We can apply New Media whenever we need communication or access to information. It is way more convenient to apply New Media than requiring information or communicate by paper-based publications.
For example: We can write emails or talk in chat rooms which they are definitely way more convenient than writing letters. Or when we get to have access to all the information on the internet, it is faster than acquiring information from books, newspapers, magazines etc.
